What makes a Wölfe knife?

Every knife is designed by us — the owners, and vetted with real-life use and feedback. Each one is made from the finest materials for long-term reliability in your kitchen.

Handle Material

G10 is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate composite made by layering glass cloth with epoxy resin and compressing it under heat, resulting in a material known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. It is highly resistant to moisture, temperature changes, and physical impact, making it well-suited for both professional and home kitchen environments.

G10 maintains its structural integrity over time without warping or cracking, and its lightly textured surface provides a secure, non-slip grip—even in wet conditions—ensuring consistent control and comfort during extended use.

Blade Material

X50CrMoV15 is a German-engineered stainless carbon alloy steel formulated to deliver a precise balance of hardness, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance. With a composition that includes chromium for corrosion resistance, molybdenum for strength, and vanadium for edge retention, it holds a sharp edge through regular use while remaining tough enough to resist chipping.

Importantly, it is hardened to a level that maintains performance without becoming overly brittle, allowing the blade to be easily resharpened when needed. This balance makes it a highly reliable steel for daily use in both professional and home kitchens.
